# Participant Team Stage GB WS Prize
πŸ“…

Knockout stage begins once the group stage is complete.

Golden Boot

Each Golden Boot entrant is assigned 4 players (one per tier). If any of your players wins the top scorer award, you take the pot.

⚽

Top scorer standings will appear once the tournament begins.

Wooden Spoon

Of everyone who entered the Wooden Spoon side bet, the winner is the entrant whose drawn team finishes with the worst group-stage record (fewest points, then goal difference, then goals scored). Teams not held by an entrant don't count.

πŸ₯„

Bottom-table standings will appear once the group stage is underway.

Results will appear here when the tournament is complete.

Tournament Odds

Outright winner odds for all 48 teams. These are the stakes — getting France at 5/1 is very different to drawing Curaçao at 1000/1. That's the fun of the random draw.

Odds indicative. Decimal prices averaged across UK bookmakers, then snapped to the nearest standard UK fractional odds. Updated . Go check the bookies yourself if you want to compare.

How It Works

Entry

Pay Β£10 to enter. You are randomly assigned one of the 48 World Cup teams after the registration deadline on 9 June 2026. One team per entry.

If more than 48 people enter, teams are drawn in full batches β€” the first 48 confirmed entries each get a unique team, then the next batch of entries gets a fresh random draw from all 48 teams again. Teams can be shared if entries exceed 48.

Missed the deadline? Late entry is Β£12 until 25 June, 6pm. Your team is randomly assigned from those still in the pool once payment is confirmed. No side bets on late entries.

Side Bets

How the Golden Boot player draw works

The Golden Boot is a separate draw from the main team sweepstake, giving you an independent chance to win.

  1. Pre-tournament, bookmaker odds are used to build a pool of top-scorer candidates.
  2. Players are sorted by their odds and split into 4 tiers: Favourite, Contender, Outsider, and Longshot.
  3. On the morning of 11 June 2026 (before the first match), each Golden Boot participant is randomly assigned one player from each tier β€” so you get 4 players in total.
  4. If any of your assigned players finishes as the tournament's top scorer, you win the entire Golden Boot pot.

The tiered system ensures fairness β€” everyone gets one favourite and one longshot, so no single draw is overwhelmingly better than another.

Prize Pot

The main pot is split by how far your team progresses:

πŸ₯‡ Winner 60% of pot
πŸ₯ˆ Runner Up 25% of pot
πŸ… Semi-FinalistsBoth losing semi-finalists split the 15% equally 15% of pot

If two or more people share the same team, the prize for that team is split equally between them.

What if a finalist team wasn't drawn?

If fewer than 48 people register, some teams will have no owner. If a finalist or semi-finalist team is unassigned, the prize rolls down to the next owned position:

  • Winner unassigned β†’ 60% rolls to the runner-up's owner
  • Runner-up also unassigned β†’ 85% rolls to the semi-finalists' owners
  • No semi-finalist team owned β†’ the entire pot splits equally among all participants as a consolation
Worked example

20 people enter. Main pot = Β£200.
